Stephen Snowdy, PhD
CEO and President
Dr. Snowdy is an experienced life sciences venture captalist and company executive, and owner of Ansley Ventures. From 2003 to 2010 he was a partner at the medical venture firm MB Venture Partners, in Memphis TN, and was one of the fonding investors of Calosyn Pharma. He is Chairman of Calosyn Pharma, Inc., and Visioneering Technologies, Inc. (Atlanta GA), and sits on several boards and committees at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation. He earned his PhD in Neurobiology and an MBA at UNC Chapel Hill, and an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida, where he also completed post-baccalaureate study in cardiopharmacology. His academic career followed service in the US Navy special forces.
David Waddell, MD
Founder and Board Director
Dr. Waddell is one of the inventors of the Calosyn technoloy, and is a clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedics at the Louisiana Health Sciences Center. He is a hghly published orthopedic surgeon in Shreveport LA specializing in diseases of the knee and in sports medicine for the past 32 years, and is an exprt in the intra-articular approach to treating osteoarthritis. He has published more than 100 peer-reiewed scientific articles, scientific posters, and podium presentations, and has perfrmed more than 19,000 knee injections.
Ross Barrett
Board Director
Ross Barrett is the Managing General Partner at BVM Capital, and one of the founding investors of Calosyn Pharma. He is a Co-Founder of VC Experts, Inc. and has worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to US Senator J. Bennett Jhnston, where he specialiezd in risk assessment and regulatory reform. He has been an advisor to or investor in over 20 early-stage private companies.
Joe Lovett
Board Director
Joe Lovett is Managing General Partner at the Louisiana Fund. He has over 34 years of venture capital and operational experience in biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, and medical imaging. His operational experience includes marketing and general management at CR Bard, Mallinckrodt, and Damon Biotech. He has been involved wth 3 Harvard-affiliated venture funds that managed $70 milion, and resulted in 13 IPOs and 6 acqusitions. He has a BA in economics from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Cal State Polytech.
Mike Sherman

Mikke Sherman is a partner at Memphis-based MB Venture Partners, where he sits on the boards of directors of 9 medical device and pharma companies. Mike joined MB in 2006, after a 16-year career at Medtronic Sofamor Danek. At MSD, Mike held the position of VP of Technoloy Development where he was respnosible for a small but focused product development team, as well as the technical and the business diligence on acquisitions, in-licensing, and stratgeic investments. He has 100 issued and numerous pending patents to his name. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas, Southwestern Graduate School.
